My name is Cassandra and I have been a practicing, board-certified Physician Assistant for the past 10 years. I have experience in a variety of specialties, including general medicine and wellness, psychiatry, addiction medicine, medical weight loss, occupational medicine, and sports medicine. Throughout my time practicing medicine, I have come to love helping my patients achieve their healthiest selves by evaluating their whole person and helping to guide them on their own, individual path to wellness. I have come to learn that there is not a “magic pill” that solves health issues; the magic lies within our own bodies and minds, in harmony with medications and supplements, for healing if the effort and commitment is made.
I opened Ripple Effects Wellness to provide my patients with holistic, realistic, and affordable options in their approach to wellness. Currently, I offer general wellness and health coaching, natural and medically-assisted weight loss options, non-opiate based pain management, direct primary care, and medical cannabis card certifications.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY in 2010. Upon graduating, I managed a medical research program in the emergency department at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY for 2.5 years before going on to complete my Physician Assistant training. I attended Midwestern University – Glendale and earned my Masters in Medical Sciences degree in 2014. Since then, I have practiced as a physician assistant in Oregon, Arizona, and Utah. I am currently licensed in Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, and Louisiana. In 2022, I was awarded my license to practice independently as a Physician Assistant in the state of Utah and have made St. George, UT my home!
In my free time, I love to spend time with my daughter, husband, and 2 dogs. I love the outdoors, camping, off-roading, taking long roadtrips, and exploring Southern Utah’s many treasures. I also love to write for my blog, visit with family, and spend time relaxing in the sunshine when I can!
